How to Cancel a SiriusXM Radio Subscription
Sometimes, listeners find that SiriusXM Radio no longer meets their needs, or they find another in-vehicle service provider. To cancel a SiriusXM Radio subscription, you’ll need to contact customer service. There are three ways you can do this.
Call customer service
You can reach SiriusXM customer service by calling 1-888-539-7474. They answer calls Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET.
This is the only way to cancel a SiriusXM Radio subscription. This is for SiriusXM subscriptions pre-installed in new vehicles, as well as subscriptions purchased and connected to vehicles manually.
Live chat with customer service
To live chat with a customer service representative, visit the SiriusXM website, and do the following:
- On the website, select Help & Support, then Contact Us.
- You may see a pop-up for questions. Selecting Let’s Get Started will open the chat window.
- Select Chat Now.
- If the virtual agent cannot help you will be connected to a live agent.
- In the pre-selected answers, select Cancel.
How to Move Your Account to a New Vehicle or Modify a Subscription
If you want to modify your subscription or switch your account to a new vehicle, there’s no need to cancel.
On the website, select Help & Support, then Contact Us.
You may see a pop-up for questions. Selecting Let’s Get Started will open the chat window.
Select Chat Now.
If the virtual agent cannot help you will be connected to a live agent.
In the pre-selected answers, select Cancel.
Sirius wishes to understand the “why” behind your request, so be prepared to answer questions regarding your subscription and why you wish to cancel. According to Sirius, “…we would like to understand and resolve any issue you may have had. Please note your subscription cannot be canceled online.”
Instead, just log into your online account to modify your plan or upgrade to a new vehicle. If you wish to cancel an online streaming-only account, you can also do so by logging into your account online.
- How do I find my Sirius radio ID?
- Many radios will display your ID on Channel 0. You can also go to the Sirius Online Account Center and get it from Active Radios/Subscriptions in the My Subscriptions tab. You’ll need to have your username or email address handy, along with your Sirius password.
- How do I reactivate Sirius radio for free?
- You might be eligible to get a new trial subscription, depending on how long it’s been since you cancelled your account and the reasons for cancellation. If you recently bought a used vehicle or haven’t recently had service from Sirius, you can check your eligibility to see if you qualify for a free trial.
