The latest flagship from South Korean smartphone manufacturer, Pantech, is about to make a grand entrance in the retail stores and it has features that could rival Galaxy Note 3. The Pantech Vega Secret Up features a massive 5.6” (1920×1080)1080p HD LCD display which is slightly smaller than 5.7” screen on the Note 3. Like the Note 3, the Vega Up comes a 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor but with a lesser 2 GB of RAM and it also has 16/32GB of internal storage.
Other interesting specs include, “privacy protected screen” which allows only the user to view what’s on the screen and people cannot see the screen from the sides. The Vega Secret Up also stands out in sound quality with its Qualcomm DRE technology which offers better dynamic range. The audio will output using “free lossless audio codec” with 24bit/192Khz sound. You will also be able to use a special flip case called “sound case” which according to Pantech will amplify the smartphone’s sound with effects similar to that of concert halls. These amplifier cases will be provided for free for the first 20,000 buyers of the Vega Secret Up.
The Vega Secret Up looks very attractive with its large display and 151.4×76.4×9.5mm body which weights just about 174g. This device was announced by Pantech on December 5th but the price is not yet revealed. For now, here are the specifications of Pantech Vega Secret Up.
