This week’s workspace features a floating computer desk made from an old x-ray viewer. Although, it might not be easy to find piece of equipment like this, it can give you an idea to think outside of the box the next time you want to re-decorate your home office.
Drew Wright, a graphic designer from Greenville, North Carolina, had the idea to transform an old wall mounted x-ray viewer into a floating computer desk. The really interesting feature, though, is lights from the x-ray viewer work and it adds something unique to this DIY desk design.

This is my desk I made from an old wall mounted x-ray viewer. I bought some wall brackets and mounted it perpendicular to the wall and now I use it to do trace work and overlays for graphic and interior design.
