At this year Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) held in San Francisco, the company unveiled a slew of major updates coming to each of its operating systems, including on macOS, iOS, watchOS, tvOS. The Cupertino company also open up services, such as Siri and iMessage to developers.
Apple’s focus for WWDC 2016 was to bridge the gap and bring all its devices closer together. During the conference, the company announced Siri on the desktop, Universal Clipboard, Apple Pay on the web, and a lot more. There were also many new redesigns on services like Apple News, Music, Maps, and more.
During the WWDC 2016 conference, Apple also announced that is renaming OS X after 15 years to macOS. The new version will be called macOS Sierra, it’ll be focus on continuity, in addition to new iCloud integration, and public beta will be available July with a public release later this fall.
Of course, this isn’t all, there are a lot more announcements, as it took the company two hours to go over all the new features and improvements included in the four operating systems.
