After May 1st Acquisition by Yahoo, Astrid has announced that it will be shutting down on August 5th, 2013. For those of you who don’t know what Astrid is, it is a task organizer/ to-do/personal assistant app which has been downloaded more than 4 million times in the app store. There are no reports what the Astrid team will now be doing under Yahoo’s direction.

Though Astrid will shut down its servers, you still have a month to get your data out via this export link. Once the data has been obtained, you can easily import it with other apps like Any.do, Wrike, Wunderlist and Sandglaz.  A bit inconvenient, but I’m now moved on to Any.do which has been a great replacement.
