ASUS has announced its new Vivobook 13 Slate OLED laptop with a 13.3-inch display, 16:9 aspect ratio, and detachable keyboard.
According to the official product page, the Vivobook 13 is a 2-in-1 device that focuses on entertainment and artistry. The laptop has a bright OLED Dolby Vision display that ASUS claims can display over a billion colors, and comes with a pen that includes four interchangeable tips.
The OLED screen, itself, has a lightweight form factor and is less than an inch thick. It supports Dolby Vision HDR technology, which includes a 0.1ms response time for pictures. All of this imaging technology combined with Dolby Atmos support makes the Vivobook 13 a powerful entertainment device.
The high-quality screen pairs well with the ASUS Pen 2.0, which will allow any aspiring artist to write, draw, and markup on any app that supports the pen. The ASUS Pen can last for over 140 hours and pair with any Bluetooth-enabled device with a full charge.
Under the hood, the Vivobook 13 is powered by a quad-core Intel processor that can go as high as 3.3 GHz and 8 GB RAM, a perfect amount for its Windows 11 Home operating system. An 8 GB RAM will allow you to try out the Android app beta on Windows 11.
New owners will enjoy its fast-charging 50 Wh battery that lasts up to 9.5 hours. And for those on the road, the Vivobook 13 also supports power banks.
The Vivobook 13 Slate OLED will start at $599 alongside other models that have more space and memory, but details are still scarce. An official launch date has not been given.
