You might have already read about ASUS PQ231 31.5-inch 4K monitor, but until today the most important piece of information missing was, what’s the price of this beast? At Computex 2013 the company has now revealed that the 3840 x 2160, 140-ppi display will cost $3,799.
It’s a really steep price, but when you consider that the ASUS PQ231 comes with 4K resolution, anti-glare finish, thin bezel and the matte color that brings up an impressive image quality, you might just opt to stay at home several weekends to save up some money for it. Just imagine how Windows 8.1 will look like in this gorgeous display now that the upcoming update includes 4K screen resolution support, which also let you view up to 9 rows of tiles in the Start screen.
The Taiwanese company reports that the 31.5-inch 4K monitor will be in store in June, and its 39-inch sibling (Yup! There is a bigger model too) will ship sometime in Q3.
